Dispatch call, July 1, 1968, time unknown

Description: This is a digitized recording of a dictabelt, which the Indianapolis Fire Department used to record dispatch calls during the 1960s and 1970s. Following are the calls on this dictabelt: 1. Fire truck requested at Ace Battery for trash fire at 2000 block of Bluff Road. 2. Fire truck requested at 1042 East Cameron, mother having breathing problems and possible heart attack. 3. At 1219 Charles Street a heart attack reported, ambulance dispatched. 4. Serious garage fire reported at 1734 West 74th Street, dispatcher informs them this is in the jurisdiction of Washington Township and says he will call the Washington Township fire department. 5. Woman calls because fire alarm has been going off at Five Sessions building at 3901 North Meridian Street. 6. At 2322 North Dearborn man reports major fire, possibly tires or oil in house behind his home on Wheeler. 7. At 2702 East Washington Johnnies Grill is on fire reported by woman. 8. A one Emmer age 56 with possible heart attack at 3514 North Yale, one air tank used. 9. Call for information on bike registration. 10. Call about maintenance of radio call system, chief had called earlier and could not hear dispatcher well. 11. Car on fire reported at 34th and Capital, wrecker called for. 12. Car on fire reported at 319 West 28th Street in rear of house.
