Description: This is a digitized recording of a dictabelt, which the Indianapolis Fire Department used to record dispatch calls during the 1960s and 1970s. Following are the calls on this dictabelt:1. 134 North Pen, man cut by power saw at Tennyson Parking. 2. 5115 East 10, person passed out in cafeteria line a one F. G. Wise. 3. Man unconscious in cab at 14 West Morris and Harding Streets. 4. 19 Fairhouse, police car requested. 5. Man calls to mention a small grassfire at I-74 and I-136. 6. Call about attempted arson, witness sees attempt to burn building at 1559 Broadway. 7. Men locked in an attic at 702 East 63rd Street. 8. Call for assistance to 4142 Ethel Street, fire coming out of register. 9. 3312 North Gladstone, woman having breathing trouble request inhalator. 10. Bicycle registration question. 11. Garage on fire on 3000 Block of College, by Broadway. 12. 2718 Highland Place, house is on fire upstairs. 13. Bad accident at 34th and Sherman Drive, PI accident several minor injuries to children. Ambulance needed. 14. 22nd and College, reports of a mugging by three men, police informed.
