Description: This is a digitized recording of a dictabelt, which the Indianapolis Fire Department used to record dispatch calls during the 1960s and 1970s. Following are the calls on this dictabelt:1. 117 West 23rd, empty house on fire reported. 2. Two calls about house fire on 23rd and Illinois street. 3. Call from Indianapolis Water Company, fire hydrants being worked on are back in service. 4. Man calling Indianapolis Fire Department, redirected to Washington Township number. 5. Girl reported at blacked out from pill over dose, at 1119 North Hamilton. 6. 1700 East 77, large fire reported by yard of Aggregate Gravel Pit. 7. Car fire on 38th street east of Franklin road. 8. At 625 Yewdale an elderly woman called to request help with being locked out of her home. 9. 1630 Ludlow Street, injured boy. 10. 2929 North Park Street, fire in upstairs of house.
