Description: This is a digitized recording of a dictabelt, which the Indianapolis Fire Department used to record dispatch calls during the 1960s and 1970s. Following are the calls on this dictabelt: 1. Woman calls about bicycle registration dates. 2. Reported odor of gasoline coming from plumbing system of office building Stockton and Dahl at 2922 East 10th Street, car 10 dispatched to investigate. 3. At 636 North Tibbs, engine 18 to meet car 10. 4. 37 gallon drum of acid broke open at 2700 Clifton needs to be diluted. 5. Woman calls asking how she can identify a false alarm she received. 6. Woman calls for rescue squad to assist teenager that fell down stairs at 3233 North Ruckle Street, squad 14 dispatcher. 7. Fire by railroad tracks reported, caller unsure of location said it was caused by train around 1st Street west of East Street. 8. Additional call about fire at Belk railroad.
