Description: This is a digitized recording of a dictabelt, which the Indianapolis Fire Department used to record dispatch calls during the 1960s and 1970s. Following are the calls on this dictabelt: 1. Dispatcher call to get electrical specialist at headquarters, call board is experiencing ring failure during fire report calls. 2. Caller asking about parking regulations and fire safety at shopping center. 3. Water Company employee calls to inform the fire department about changes in hydrants in and out of service. 4. Woman calls to report hall full of smoke at 724 Blake Street apartment 110.
