Biennial Convention, YWCA, 1911

Description: Group portrait of the Young Womens Christian Association of Indianapolis, taken in front of their headquarters at 329 North Pennsylvania. The YWCA of Indianapolis was incorporated in 1894, though the first meetings were not held until 1895. Their headquarters was built in 1909. In 1911, the group hosted the Third National Biennial YWCA Convention depicted here. The New Wrecking Company and Oakland Oldsmobile dealership can also be seen in this photograph.
