Description: |
Saturday, day two of the 1910 three day program, shows spectators seated in bleachers as race cars speed through the first turn. This view also shows the newly paved brick track and the nine inch thick concrete retaining walls that extended above the track along the curves. The team garages and storage buildings in the infield are painted white with green trim. The original nitrate negative was copied with funds provided by a grant from the National Historical Publications and Records Commission in 1990. This digital image was created from that copy. The copy prints and negatives are stored in Microfiche Number order. |
