Two race cars speed down the main straightaway in front of spectators during the 250 Mile Race. The cars and the man with the checkered flag on the track appear to be added by the photographer. This same image can be seen without the added cars and flagman in PAN295. The original nitrate negative was copied with funds provided by a grant from the National Historical Publications and Records Commission in 1990. This digital image was created from that copy. The copy prints and negatives are stored in Microfiche Number order. |
