Description: |
Group portrait of members of the Vegetable Growers Association at their 1922 convention. Between eight-hundred and a thousand vegetable growers from twenty states attended the Vegetable Growers Association fourteenth annual convention in Indianapolis, held between August 22 and 25. Meetings opened at the Claypool Hotel and the group spent four days discussing advertising and marketing. A vegetable show was open to the public at Tomlinson Hall and the group toured local gardens and other social functions. The view here shows the vegetable growers on a tour of the Sunken Gardens and Conservatory at Garfield Park on the south side of Indianapolis. |
