Vegetable Growers Association of America, 1922 Convention, Indianapolis, Indiana, August 22-25

Description: In August 1922 between eight-hundred and a thousand vegetable growers from twenty states attended the Vegetable Growers Association fourteenth annual convention in Indianapolis. Meetings opened at the Claypool Hotel and the group spent four days discussing advertising and marketing. A vegetable show was open to the public at Tomlinson Hall and the group toured local gardens and other social functions. The view here shows the vegetable growers on a tour of the Sunken Gardens and Conservatory at Garfield Park on the south side of Indianapolis.
The original nitrate negative was copied with funds provided by a grant from the National Historical Publications and Records Commission in 1990. This digital image was created from that copy. The copy prints and negatives are stored in Microfiche Number order. Interpositives are stored in PAN number order.
