Group portrait of the Car Route Sales Department of G. H. Hammond Company at their annual convention in Chicago, held the 12th and 13th of December in 1923. The G. H. Hammond Company was a meat-packing company that operated out of Omaha, Nebraska, their plant located at South 36 and O Streets. This group was responsible for sale and shipping of products through the railroad. The plant opened in the 1880s and closed in 1901 after being purchased by the Armour Company. |
