Fairmount Glass Works, Bottles of All Kinds, Indianapolis

Description: Architectural rendering of the Fairmount Glass Works make for Edward Mason Company. It shows a train driving past the working plant and fields in the distance. The Fairmount Glass works was opened in Fairmount, Indiana in 1889 by William C. Winslow, John Rau, Frank Taylor and Charles Tigner. It primarily produced glass jars and bottles. In 1904, it relocated to Indianapolis at Prospect Street and Keystone Avenue, the location showed here. It suffered several fires and name changes and was closed in 1985.
