Hartford City Paper Company, Hartford City

Description: View of the Hartford City Paper Company, positioned along railroad tracks in the 1920s. The Hardford City Paper company manufactured paper, primarily for books. They were known for being the first in the United States to manufacture greaseproof and imitation parchment paper in 1905, a process which the Swedish-born Olaf Hedstrom brought from Germany. The company was located on the East side of Hartford City.
