Lagro Roller Mills

Description: Lagro was settled around 1829 on the Wabash River and was a main town along the Wabash and Erie Canal. Once a French and Indian trading post, it was named for Le Gros, a Miami chief. Originally part of Grant County, it joined Wabash County in 1838.
Message on postcard reads: Well Kidd I got here at 2 pm but can not see the man untill 7:30 this eve Mr Reynolds does not know anything new but he wants to talk with me so will stay and probily go to Andrews tomorrow with love [Alf???] Postcard addressed to: Mrs. Agnes Hare, 311 South Columbia St., Warsaw, Ind.
