East Jefferson Street, Tipton, Indiana

Description: Tipton has the honor of being the first town in the state to have a street paved with brick. In 1890, two and a half blocks of common building brick were laid on Jefferson Street, pictured here. It was resurfaced in January 1914 with vitrified brick.
