Anthony Kocherts potato crop after June 1939 flood

Description: Anthony Kochert’s potato crop at Lanesville, Indiana, following heavy rains in mid-June 1939. The large potatoes can easily be seen on top of the ground, cleaner and whiter than if they had been dug by hand. The summer rain storm caused severe flooding throughout Harrison County and caused damage to numerous crops and fields as well as roads, homes, and businesses.
