Description: |
Donald Walts, age twelve, and his brother Glen Walts, age twenty, look over their father’s wheat field that was damaged during a June storm in 1942. The six-acre field stood on the farm of Shelby Walts approximately one and a half miles south of Georgetown, Indiana. Prior to the storm, wheat in the field had stood about forty inches high. Two consecutive days of wind, rain and hail destroyed the crop. |
