Daniel Patrick Griffin, portrait, 1901

Description:	Daniel Patrick Griffin (1885-1975) was the seventh and youngest child of Patrick and Helen Porter Griffin of Corydon, Indiana. Dan graduated from Corydon High School and then Purdue Universitys School of Pharmacy. After working as a pharmacist in various locations, Dan returned to Corydon and joined his siblings in the familys dry goods firm, Maurice Griffin & Co., Inc. Dan resided in the family home, the Porter-Griffin house, with his mother and siblings Margaret, Mary Jane, and Olive. Margaret died in 1934, followed by their mother in 1940. An additional sibling, Helen E. Griffin OLeary, returned to Corydon to live with her siblings following the death of her husband in 1948. She died just two years later in 1950, and their brother Maurice, who lived two doors down the street, died in 1951. Dan was the last of the Griffin family to live in the family home. His sisters Olive and Mary Jane passed away in 1958 and 1961 respectively. Uncle Dan died at the age of 90 in 1975.
