Virgil Reynolds examines a small pipe connected to a water pump at the site of Herman and Monnie Ashtons house in Laconia, Indiana, following a large explosion that destroyed the home. Gas seeping from the water well under the dwelling was thought to have caused the explosion. Both Mr. and Mrs. Ashton suffered severe burns and injuries during the event, but eventually recovered. |
