A sketch of the New Albany-Corydon stagecoach. The stagecoach carried passengers, mail, and freight between the two Indiana towns during the 19th century. Frederick Leslie was the first driver of the line, followed by Pres Decker and Gid Heth. Cy Lewis and his brothers drove the stage line for their father, Jake Lewis, and the next operator was Henson Lemmon. William Lockhart and George Straub both drivers for Lemmon. |
