Benjamin Harrison campaign stop, Corydon Junction, 1892

Description: President Benjamin Harrison greets a large crowd at a campaign stop at Corydon Junction in 1892. Harrison served as the 23rd U.S. president from 1889 to 1893. This photo was taken during his campaign for re-election, which proved unsuccessful. Harrison was defeated by Grover Cleveland. He then returned to his hometown of Indianapolis, Indiana, where he died in 1901 from complications of influenza.
