The teacher adds that the children wont have to come back until January 2nd. 7 days until Christmas. A man stands on a ladder to hang Christmas lights on a house; a woman watching from the yard asks him if he can hang the lights higher. Winter begins Thursday. Last week for Christmas shopping. Santa Claus prepares to fire a starter pistol to begin the shoppers race for the best remaining items. A man and a woman crouch at the Monday starting line. Salvation Army collecting funds to provide baskets to the needy. A basketball game. Wrestling match to benefit a party for poor children. Baby coronation pageant. The elephant examines a Christmas card from a huge stack. The Elks prepare for a charity program--a man with an elks head looks in a mirror and makes a noise, possibly warming up his voice to sing.
