A pear tree at Mrs. Lena Dassel home in Hornville Ind. One side filled with pears the other side has blossoms - From Mrs. Willis McDowell At Petersburg Ill is an old right barn used in 90s when built by Ed Shipp to train circus horses and riders - flyers and acrobats. Last used 20 years ago by Kelly Bros. Circus Center pole is only support of roof. Safety crane for riders is still on pole. Lowandes sliver oakley, Potters fishers adairs practiced there. While fishing along Wabash C.A. Kissel found an apple tree with fine fruit crop and one entire twig was in full bloom of blossoms. Full perfect formed ear of white corn 14 3/4 inches long raised by Emmett Mauzy Mt. Vernon Ind. RFD. 1. Frank Mueller Sr. Franklin & Tekop Evansville got a big kick out of finding some varied colored kernels in ears of corn in his 1937 crop Blue-Orchid - Violet - White - Yellow - Black etc. Black Lets have your oddities photos or sketches objects people places No fruit No vegetables Odd names, history - signs etc. |
