I know every inch: Soissons, Asine, Reims, Marne, Argonne, Verdun, Chateau, Thierry--I follow you every day on the maps. You took Verdun in hours while they fought there 3 years, 1914-18. When you get to Soulily near Verdun be sure to look up the Pierre Fillettee family and tell them you are my boy. Im drawing a map of the old Argonne forest so when you drop back there see if you can find our location marked X We battled there 6 weeks. Golly, what well have to talk about when you all come home. France. Belgium. Luxembourg. |
