Frank Smith, chief special officer of Servel, Evansville has a photo from which this was sketched. It is a metal casket presumably of the 1700 years as judged by the attire of the body military, velvet cuffs with lace of shirt protruding, gloved hands. All in good state of preservation as was body. Perhaps an explorer or Revolutionary War officer. Found in Rockport Ind. 20 years ago. While laying a sidewalk. It was reburied in Rockport. There was no name on name plate on top of casket. Note detail of design on cover, lug holes for bolts and nuts. A plate that moves revealing face. When this cows calf died she adopted a milk drinking lamb - with no human encouragement. on L.W. Truitts Farm near Sturgis - KY. From photo sent in with notes by Edith Truitt Sullivan, KY. This egg 8 1/4 inch by 6 1/4 inch in circumference found by Mrs. Flossie Witham R.R. 6 - Pollack Ave., Evansville A chicken egg for she said she had no ducks or geese.
