The bell, removed from the belfry of a school or fire station, was donated as scrap metal during World War II. Bell created by G. W. Coffin & Company and the Buckeye Bell Foundry. Original description assigned the bell to Washington Elementary School, based on articles the bell might have belonged to Central Fire Station.
