The Anderson Police Department has arrested three persons accused of operating a car theft ring.; A Marion, Indiana man has been sentenced to eighteen months of probation for spanking a child in 2003. His spankings were hard enough to leave bruises on the child.; Farmers can use a new GPS-powered system to keep track of how much fertilizer they have applied in a given area. The system can also be programmed to steer the vehicles used to spread the fertilizer.; CiCis Pizza and Papa Murphys both plan to open new stores in Marion, Indiana. The pizzerias will be located in a developing shopping complex near a Starbucks coffeehouse.; Local temperatures dropped rapidly on November 17, 2005.
