Description: |
White Lick Presbyterian Church was founded in 1851. According to the White Lick Presbyterian Church history, the current building was constructed in 1881 using bricks made of clay dug up from the White Lick Creek. The bricks were molded and fired on site. The church is sometimes referred to as The Little Church in the Wildwood because it is located in such an idyllic wooded setting. According to The History of Hendricks County, 1914-1976, one of the churchs founding members was Harrison Barlow. The cemetery across the street was acquired by the church from the Wilson family, who farmed the land around where the church sat in 2012. This photograph was taken on June 25, 2011. |
