George Washington Merritt (April 16, 1820 - July 2, 1908) was born to George Stewart Merritt and Jane Carden. He married Malvina Johnson (September 23, 1823 - Feb 7, 1889) daughter of Thomas Johnson and Melinda Perry on December 23, 1843. According to Danville Hendricks County Republican July 21, 1892 There was a reunion of the Geo W Merritt family at his residence on last Saturday. Many friends and neighbors besides relatives were present and enjoyed the day and two pictures were made by Joe Keeter, the Indianapolis photographer, one was of the crowd of a hundred, and the other, the descendants of Mr. Merritt with their families. |
