Davis was born to Alonzo Davis (September 30, 1862 - October 5, 1938) and Anna McClain (March 24, 1868 - June 13, 1951). William and Muriels children include: Infant Merritt (October 1, 1923 - October 1, 1923), Mary Louise Merritt (August 5, 1925 - March 19, 2011), Barbara Merritt, Bertha May Merritt (April 30, 1933 - July 26, 1989), and William George Merritt, Jr. (November 11, 1935 - February 24, 2012). |
