On February 14, 1813 the case was decided for the plaintiff for $16.33 1/3 cents. An account by Benjamin Beckes noted that Thomas White had disabled Beckess man Albert Lacray. Beckes therefore had to pay (hired) hands $10.33 1/3 cents to have 31 bushels of corn picked and $9.00 to wait on the injured Lacray. The appeal of the earlier judgement was signed by Thomas White, Jacob Decker, and justice of the Peace Daniel Sullivan. The first court transcript consists of various subpoenas and a summons. The summons calls for Thomas White to answer unto Benjamin Beckes in a plea of trespass and was signed by Justice of the Peace Daniel Sullivan on November 30, 1812. The first subpoena calls for Robert Johnson and Hugh Shaw to give evidence on behalf of the plaintiff Beckes on December 3, 1812 and is signed by Daniel Sullivan. The subpoena was executed by constable James Jordan at a cost of $.34 cents. The next subpoena calls for William Johnson, John Dolin, and his wife to give evidence on behalf of the plaintiff on December 14, 1812 and was signed by Sullivan. The subpoena was executed by constable James Jordan at a cost of $.38 cents. The next subpoena calls for Joseph Wilson to give evidence for Benjamin Beckes on December 28, 1812 and was signed by Sullivan. This subpoena was executed by constable James Jordan at a cost of $.18 cents. Next came a subpoena for Robert Johnson (Johnston) to give evidence for the plaintiff on January 2, 1813, and was signed by Daniel Sullivan. This subpoena was executed by constable James Jordan at a cost of $.14 cents. The next subpoena on this transcript calls for James Lilly, Valentine Routt, Robert Shaw, and Hugh Shaw to give evidence for the defendant Thomas White on January 2, 1813 and was signed by Justice of the Peace Daniel Sullivan. The second court transcript continues with the previous subpoena by noting that the subpoena was executed by constable James Jordan at a cost of $.86 cents. The next subpoena calls for Thomas McClure to appear and give evidence for Benjamin Beckes on January 2, 1813 and is signed by Sullivan. This subpoena was executed by constable James Jordan at a cost of $.10 cents. The next subpoena calls for John Dolin, Mrs. Dolin, Hugh Shaw and Robert Johnson (Johnston) to give evidence for the plaintiff Benjamin Beckes on January 16, 1813 and was signed by Daniel Sullivan. This subpoena was executed by constable James Jordan at a cost of $.18 cents. The next subpoena calls for John Dolin, Mrs. Dolin, Robert Johnson, and Thomas McClure to appear on January 30, 1813 and give evidence for the plaintiff. The subpoena was signed by Daniel Sullivan and executed by constable James Jordan at a cost of $1.08. The next subpoena calls for Hugh Shaw and James Lilly to appear and give evidence for the defendant Thomas White on January 30, 1813. This subpoena was signed by Sullivan and executed by constable Shaw at a cost of $.60 cents. The final subpoena on the second transcript was for the constable of Harrison Township, Knox County, to summons a jury on January 30, 1813. The members of the jury included Lynn Patterson, Isaac Miner, John McBain, and David Lilly. The first court cost bill was for $29.55 1/2 cents. The second cost bill is for $12.45 cents. The first subpoena called for General Washington Johnston to appear on behalf of the defendant Thomas White on August 16, 1813. This subpoena was signed and witnessed by court clerk Robert Buntin and executed by sheriff Parmenas Beckes at a cost of $.46 1/2 cents. The second subpoena commanded Robert Johnston, William Beckes, and James Lilly to give evidence for Benjamin Beckes on August 13, 1813 and was signed and witnessed by court clerk Robert Buntin. This subpoena was executed by sheriff Parmenas Beckes at a cost of $2.23 1/2 cents. The third subpoena calls for Daniel Sullivan to give evidence on the part of the defendant during the August term 1813. This subpoena was signed by court clerk Robert Buntin and executed by sheriff Parmenas Beckes at a cost of $.46 1/2 cents. The final subpoena calls for Hugh Shaw and James Lilly to appear and give evidence for the defendant on August 13, 1813 and was signed by court clerk Robert Buntin.
