Durham, John allowance for killing wolves 1810

Description: The file contains one document regarding an allowance to be give to John Durham for killing two wolves. The document stated that John Durham appeared before Daniel McClure a Justice of the Peace. Durham swore that he killed two wolves over six months old in Palmyra Township in January and February. He produced the heads as evidence. According to the Minute Book of the Knox County Court of Common Pleas 1807-1810, page 232, during the March Term 1810, it was ordered that the sheriff, the county treasure pay Durham $1.50 for two wolves heads under certificate of Daniel McClure.
