Johnson, Homer allowance as poll keeper

Description:	The file contains the allowance Homer Johnson was given for serving as poll keeper at the election held at Captain Noah Purcells for the year 1809 for member and delegate two days at $ 3.00 per day. He was paid $4.00 not $6.00. The Minute Book of the Knox County Court of Common Pleas 1807-1810, page 194; during the July Term 1809, it was ordered that the Sheriff pay Homer Johnson four dollars for services as a poll keeper two elections in present year.
