U. S. vs John Stork

Description: Thomas Randolph, Attorney General states that in April 1808 John Stork assaulted Jean Bte. Chevallier. A summons is issued for John Baptist Chevalllier to come to court the last day of November 1809 and give evidence on the behalf of the U. S. against John Stork. John Stork is accused of an assault and battery case. The summons is witnessed November 10, 1809 and executed by John McCandless, Deputy Sheriff. Cost of serving is listed at $5.88 1/2. A subpoena is issued for Hugh Shaw, William Wilson, Jeri Wilson and Michael Thorn to give evidence on behalf of John Stork, defendant. They are to come to court the last Monday of November instant. The subpoena is dated November 18, 1809 by R. Buntin and executed by John M. McCandless. The cost of court is $2.16. A summons dated November 27, 1809 for Abraham Teverbaugh is issued. He is to come to court the last Monday of November 1809 on behalf of the U. S. against John Stork on a plea of assault and battery on Jean Baptiste Chevallier. The subpoena is executed by John McCandless, Deputy Sheriff. Jury finds him guilty.
