Jennings, Jonathan vs. Elihu Stout and Daniel Sullivan 1807

Description: The file contains the documents related to the suit Jonathan Jennings brought against Elihu Stout and Daniel Sullivan in the Knox County Court of Common Pleas in 1807. According to the court transcript, Jennings produced a judgement bond, this bill bindeth us Elihu Stout and Daniel Sullivan in the sum of two hundred and forty-five dollars and twenty-five cents to be paid to Jonathan Jennings -in penal sum of five hundred dollars. The Defendants authorized, General W. Washington to appear for them and acknowledge the judgement for the penalty. The transcript was signed by Robert Buntin, Clerk, February 22, 1808. Added to the document, The clerk of the general court will make writ of error in case of Jennings vs. Stout and Sullivan a supersedas Take bond in double the amount of the judgement. Henry VanderBurgh Court costs were $8.81.
