John Moore vs. John D. Wolverton, deceased, estate

Description: The file contains accounts of John Moore, builder, and Dr. John D. Wolverton. Both owed each other money. Dr. Wolvertons account details treating the Moore family. One subpoena is included for Jacob Creviston. Dr. Wolverton purchased furniture and two coffins from John Moore totaling one hundred and thirty-eight dollars and fifty cents. Another account listed Doctor Elias McNamee, deceased, purchased fourteen dollars and was added to the Wolverton bill. On Dr. Wolvertons fees for the John Moore account, some services provided were: paregoric, visit in night, anis seed for infant, elixir vit for wife, 10 grams quinine for wife, purge for boy, cortex auran (bitter orange), Laudanum, 3 visits att lady in parturition (child bearing) $10.00, fracture of tibia $10.00, etc. Total bill was $77.45 The $77.45 owed to Wolverton was deducted from the $152.50 owed to Moore, to give the plaintiff, Moore, a judgement of $75.05. Jacob Creviston was issued a subpoena by A.D. Scott to testify during the August 1836 Term. The subpoena was executed by John Purcell, Sheriff.
