On December 9, 1801 a recognizance bond is filed before Judge Antoine Marchall. The bond is $200 for Guilliame Laurimere and $100 for Toussaint Dubois. The condition is that Guilliam Laurimere be brought to court on the first Tuesday in February 1802 and give evidence in behalf of the U. S. against Isaac Davis for felony theft of a brown mare belonging to Guilliame Toussaint. A copy of this recognizance bond written in French is included in this file. |
