Haggin, James vs. John Youngman

Description: Civil court case in which James Haggin, Esquire, was suing John Youngman for $60.00 damages. The damages occurred over an unpaid promissory note, made in Vincennes on 1802-03-01, for $30.00. Haggin further alleged that Youngman had previously been indebted to him for an additional $60.00. According to the Minute Book, the defendant did not show for court. Judgment was for the plaintiff for $35.25 for principle plus interest and costs.
