Coulter, Thomas vs. Samuel Lewis

Description:	Civil court case in which Thomas Coulter was suing Samuel Lewis for $100.00 damages. Lewis was said to be indebted to Coulter for $50.00 in two separate instances. A promissory note signed by Lewis and Coulter mentions the promised delivery of a work ox or steer in 1801. The jury found for the plaintiff for $21.25 damages plus costs.
