Civil court case in which Thomas Jones, assignee of Charlotte Renau, Widow Ducharme, was suing William McIntosh for an unpaid debt of $100.00 and $30.00 damages. The unpaid debt was from a promissory note dated 1797-01-04 for $100.00. McIntosh stated he did not need to pay the note as Charlottes brother Antoine Renau was named as head of family in the Illinois. According to the Minute Book, judgment was for the defendant. |
