This is a cloth artist doll manufactured by the Rose Marje Creations company of Marietta, Georgia. The designer (also the donor) is Margaret Edinburgh. The doll is one of a collection of African American dolls inspired by biblical verse, mentors in Mrs. Edinburghs life as well as family and friends. This dolls name is Precious. The dolls is dressed in a pink and white checkered blouse; beige, black and pink skirt; pink and white striped hose; black patent shoes with pink and silver bows. The doll is holding pink roses in one hand and Personal Bible verses of Comfort, Assurance, Salvation in the other hand. The doll is dressed in pink earrings and black yarn hair. The doll has no facial features. The doll stands 15 inches (38.1 cm) tall and is in excellent condition. |
