A letter from the Veteran's Administraion to William Handlay

Description: A letter written by R.S. Bielak of the Tennessee Veterans Administration to Indiana Chairman William Handlay. In th letter Bielak says that he attended a ceremony for a Civil War Indiana Veteran named Oliver Rood. Rood had been awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor but his grave had never been marked to show the recognition. Bielak goes on to say that at the ceremony he attended that Roods grave was finally marked to show the distinguished recognition. The letter is dated October 19, 1978.
