Description: |
The photograph was taken outdoors with the band members in loose formation holding their instruments. The members are wearing light color uniforms with jackets buttoning up the front with a row of buttons on each side with cords and shoulder epaulets. Their caps have plumes. The band leader is wearing a darker uniform with only one row of buttons but more cording. He is holding a staff. The instruments are of the horn section with one drum. The members are identified as Charles E. Dickie, Jones, J. Robb, Chas Meehan, Theo. F. Thomas, William Reedy, Chas. L. Howard, Carl Chambers, Paul Curtner, Ike Crandall, Louis Ferguson, John Tisdale. The date on the back of the photograph is 7-9-49. I believe it was 1849 not 1949. The front says property of Edith K. Trippet. |
