In the early 1900s the cabin was the site of community gatherings such as the one shown here. The cabin was built by a local resident named Brockway with the help of Anton Hulman from Terre Haute, Indiana. Mr. Brockway lived in the community full-time while Mr. Hulman had a summer home not far from this site.
