This is a black and white postcard of the original entrance to Turkey Run State Park in Parke County, Indiana. The man is unidentified. A timber frame spans the road with two passages for automobile or buggy/ wagon traffic. A smaller timber frame is to the left for foot traffic. Turkey Run was Indianas second state park, created in 1916 as part of the states Centennial celebrations. This item was donated by Perry Neet. |
