Description: This is a black and white photograph of the Highway Post Office bus in Rockville, Parke County, Indiana. Service was opened on US 36 between Indianapolis and Decatur, Illinois in 1952. The red, white and blue buses were to replace the Railway Mail Service where mail was sorted while in transit. Residents of Rockville are shown waiting to take advantage of this new service. This item was donated by Perry Neet.
