Vincennes Public Library parade float

Description: This photograph was taken on June 16, 1938 at the corner of 2nd and Main in Vincennes, Indiana. The parade was part of the Vincennes Public Library Summer Reading Program called Trek back to Che-Pe-Ko-Ke. The children studied the history of Native Americans around Vincennes. The Gimbel- Bond building can be seen to the far right.
