Real photo postcard of the Treaty Tree at Vincennes, Indiana, the last of a grove of walnut trees under which Indiana Territorial Governor William Henry Harrison and Shawnee Chief Tecumseh had their famous meeting in 1810. Tanks and buildings belonging to the Standard Oil Company surround the tree. The trunk of the tree was marked with a bronze plaque in 1920. The Treaty Tree blew down in 1948.
