The probate records of William Jones are housed in Box 7 of Probate Court Records of the Knox County Public Library’s McGrady Brockman building. This post contains 65 digital images of the contents of that file which includes a number of bound pages outlining the estates inventory of assets, notes, accounts and bonds as well as a list of the sale of the goods and chattels. There are other documents of varying sizes and shapes. Among those is a transference of administratorship from Jones’s widow Susan Jones to her father Toussaint Dubois and Ambrose Whitlock dated April 7, 1819. |
