The probate record for Richard Price, 1834 is in Box 18 of the probate records archive at the Knox County Public Library’s McGrady-Brockman House. A list of all people indebted to Price included Ned Symms, Pompey Hubbs, Jonathon Taylor, Nero Graves, Harriet Gardner, and Joseph Huffman. Receipts of payment to Price included Nero Graves and Samuel Emison. In file 2 are bills to Price for purchases made for himself or negroes who worked for him. Also included is a bill from Jesse Day for $15.06 filed 5-17-39. File 3 also includes several bills to Price from merchants who made items for Price or his negro workers. The majority of the bills included hats that he had made for those who worked for him. |
